I'm Still Learning

There are a lot of things I do not know how to do. There never seems to be enough time or money to take classes or teach myself new things, but yesterday I learned how to sew.

Not really.

I learned how to thread a needle, wind a bobbin and sew a straight little line. That's something! I ended up sewing together 25 little flutter clips. Today I am going to assemble them to send to a craft show with my overachieving ex-neighbor. One day soon, I am going to learn how to make slip covers for my ratty throw pillows.

No, really.

  1. Threading a machine, winding a bobbin, and sewinga straight line IS sewing! And slipcovers are more of the same straight lines! (And totally easy if you do the envelope backs!)

And keep in mind that while there may be things you don't know how to do, the things you DO do, you do well.
