It is raining. It rained yesterday and the day before too. It is grey and brown and muddy and the snow is melting revealing all of the hidden garbage accumulated under there during the winter. It is the ugliest time of year. My kids however, are big fans.
This year, I was smart and bought them all rain boots (thank you Target for your nice selection). Their winter boots are terrible in the rain; they absorb the water and weigh about 10 pounds by the time the kids get home. Saturated winter boots take days and days to dry and they stink. Rain boots are my new favorite thing. Calvin wears his on the wrong feet and loves his umbrella.
Why do umbrellas only last for a month or two? Can't they make them sturdier?
Some umbrellas are made sturdy but you might have to get the big ones.
