Windcave National Park

Somehow the kids stayed happy for the majority of our trip. It helped that we stopped each night at a hotel with a pool and tried not to over do the length of our drives. Both Max and Sophie really progressed with their swimming on our trip. The two of them spent most of their time in the car reading and it seemed like our biggest frustration/annoyance was trying to get Max to stop whistling!!!

Saturday morning we drove to Windcave National Park - after leaving the park we arrived at the still in progress Crazy Horse Memorial. I have seen this thing several times, but it never seems to make any progress. I think the face was completed in 1998 - will he ever have a horse to sit on?!
