It's That Time of Year

Classes start on Tuesday for the children, and on Sunday we walked over to the school to see their class lists. Sophie has Mrs. Nelson for 2nd grade who seems to be very nice. Maxwell has Mrs. Zirbes for 4th grade who was his reading teacher last year and Mrs. Denmark for reading who he knows from Destination Imagination.

What about this little guy? Calvin is staying home with his Mommy for one more year. I am very comfortable with this decision and know that it is what is best for him as an individual. Selfishly, I am grateful to have him home with me for one more short year!

  1. I really worried about my kids staying out an extra year for Kindergarten. I really had no choice, My first missed it by 9 days and my second missed it by 7 days this year. In the end, it has all worked out. My First is the tallest in her class and looks so much older than her age which is why I was worried about her being held back another year, but she is really shy and I think the extra year was good for her. True, all of her Church friends are starting First Grade this year but there was nothing I could do about it. My second is Autistic and I think the extra year in the Autistic room will help him with his Speech and his Social so he will be ready next year. All is well in the end. Love the Cake btw :)
