Movie Reviews
We watched a really good movie Thursday night called Sweet Land. It is set here in Minnesota and tells the story of a German immigrant and mail-order bride - a celebration of land, love, and the American immigrant experience. It is a slow, sweet movie, beautifully filmed and includes a really amazing cast.

That sounds good, I recognize the girl from Ava on Grey's Anatomy. You watch that, don't you?
ReplyDeleteIsaac's sister swears by netflicks too. We keep debating whether we should get it or not.
It is the girl on Grey's - I have not seen any of this season, but I have to say I could not stand her character on Grey's. Please tell me she has not come back!
ReplyDeleteShe has come back just a few times, not much. And they haven't had any new episodes in forever of course since the writer's strike.
ReplyDeletei've seen the trailer, and it did look interesting. thanks for the review; i'll add it to my netflix. i just saw gosford park for the first time last week. that was pretty good and it has a truly amazing cast (clive owen, maggie smith, kristin scott thomas, etc...)
ReplyDeletesounds intriguing, I will check it out. I like foreign films. those cupcakes look good, maybe I will have to whip some up sometime!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this movie! I just got the book of short stories that the movie is based on. I'll let you know what it's like.
