Arrow of Light
Last week was Max's last day as a Cub Scout. We attended the Blue and Gold banquet where Max earned a bunch of pins and his Arrow of Light. He has worked really hard the last couple of months to finish up the requirements needed and I am very proud of him!
When they presented him with the Arrow of Light, he said "I'd like to thank Brother Clark, Brother Lyons and Brother Barringer who helped me work on my scouting requirements". I'm glad he recognizes the support he has received from our friends and home teachers who have stepped in to help Max when I could not do it all. He never would have gotten everything done without their help and encouragement. Thank you Eagan Ward (once again)! I know I have said this a dozen times, but we really have the kindest people in our ward. I do not know how we would have gotten through the last few years without them.
We had a really busy week and so I did not have time to help Max make a cake for the cake decorating contest. Instead I made this number out of rice crispies. It took 7 bags of mini marshmallows and an entire bulk sized bag of rice crispies to make this thing! I also forgot to bring a serrated knife to cut it, so I ended up just ripping sections off with my hands. Classy.
