. . . is getting a helmet on Friday. He has to wear it 23 hours a day for three months! His parents have chosen camouflage. Does anyone have a child who had to go through this to correct a flat head?!
My son Parker had to wear one for almost 5 months to correct his head. We would plaster it with new stickers every week or so. He had to wear it while he was learning to walk and it saved his head from many injuries! At the time he also had ezcema on his face and the helmet therapy was VERY new (15 1/2 years ago) and the looks people would give me... well, let's just say they would not have nominated me for mom of the year. :)
I am a busy Mormon mother with three children from my first marriage and four bonus children in New York. I am a child of God. I am blessed with three wonderful extended families and many amazingly talented friends. I work full-time in a dental office and we live in a little 1940's rental just five blocks from the public library.
I adore Oregon.
I am happy. I am busy. I am loved.

Masha and Jeff knew someone that did.
ReplyDeleteSimon's head is flatter on one side than the other. He just needs to be switched sides back and forth and more tummy time.

ReplyDeleteI have a friend whose little boy had to wear one for a while and it worked beautifully!!! I don't think it is so uncommon now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet baby!
