Oh the heebie jeebies!

I will not check the sprinkler box - ever. Last year, we were having a problem with the sprinklers and I decided to investigate. When I lifted the cover off the box buried in the yard, a vole rushed out at me - or maybe it was a mouse. I am not clear on the type of rodent, but none the less, it lunged, I screamed, nearly passed out from the heebie jeebies and vowed never to look in that cursed box ever again.

Fast forward to last week. We are having issues with zone 12 which is clearly possessed, and Bryan decided to go out an investigate. A few minutes later he comes walking into the house from the garage with this little fellow he found in the sprinkler box.

Admit it, he's giving you the heebie jeebies. Sophie loved him and wanted to keep him forever. She is so not my daughter.

  1. What is that thing? Sophie looks in love, but I'm with you, it gives me the heebie jeebies too.

  2. Awww! It is so cute! What is it? I would almost say that it is a salamander, but it looks too big to be a salamander. When I was gardening at mom and dads this past weekend I was getting grossed out by all of the spiders, and spider baby sacks.... Dad said that I should have Sophie there to protect me. I would've loved it, and I guess Sophie would've loved it too!! Do you need me to come and protect you from the mice and lizards?? Oh wait, you have Sophie!
We went up to Johns land which is on your way to the 1000 islands over Memorial Day weekend and when we got there he opened the garbage toter that we have up there to keep some dry wood so that he could start a fire. As soon as he opened it he saw that there were 3 small mice living in it! They were the cutest things and hung out with us the whole time we were there. We were feeding them hot dogs, and marshmallows, and other stuff. I wanted to bring them home, but John threatened to move out so I had to leave them there. We are going up again in a few weeks, so hopefully I can hang out with them again! ~ Spiders are really the only thing that freak me out and give me the heebie jeebies!

  3. I just wanted to add that I noticed Sophie's hair is getting so long and it looks so beautiful! (not that it didn't look adorable short too, she's just a cute girl). Good job growing it out Sophie!
