On Thursday, my brother Scott and his girlfriend Carmen flew through Minneapolis on their way to Florida to attend a wedding. They had a brief layover so I loaded 4 kids in the car and went over to the airport to pick them up. Koo skipped a class and met us at my favorite pastry shop in the Twin Cities - Patrick's. We lucked out because Thursdays are kids eat free day and we had 4 adults and 4 kids. Resiting the urge to just have pastries for lunch, we ordered lunch and had a typical meal with 4 kids 6 and under.
Calvin decided his French fries would be better with maple syrup on them rather than ketchup and proceeded to eat them all dipped in syrup.
Johnny is a ketchup FREAK! Koo was next to him and I think he ate about a cup of ketchup in all. Even when I gave him a cookie after lunch, he dipped every bite in ketchup. He also lost a big blob of cookie into his water glass where it got all mushy and made the water opaque. This did not deter him and he drank it all down much to the horror of the table next to us!
Sophie decided to try and make some of her melted cheese stick to her nose. Not to be outdone, Natalie yelled "oh yeah, well watch this!" and shoved a French fry up her nose.
I saw Scott and Carmen eying the floor under our table as we left . . .
Heaven on earth . . .

i'd drag my kids for that food anyday. at least the kids didn't outnumber the adults!
ReplyDeleteTell Calvin to try dipping his french fries in a chocolate milkshake (dipping in Wendys frosty's is the best). It is amazingly good! (Sorry if I'm being a bad example).
