Theodore Roosevelt National Park

On Sunday we drove North along a National Grassland to the North entrance of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I was disappointed with the number of ranches, oil drills and homes in the grasslands - I thought it would have been more protected.
At least the landscape finally started to change! Instead of flat hay fields, sunflower fields and hay bales, we started seeing more rock formations and sharp cliffs.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park was a pretty location, very small, but the kids were able to get out and see the scenery and look for bugs - a favorite past time!
